Day 1 Islamabad: Arrival and Gentle Introduction

Welcome to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, known for its modern elegance and natural beauty. Meet with your Venus Trails team and you’ll be escorted to your hotel. In the afternoon a short orientation walk around the hotel helps reset your body clock; this is a calm day focused on preparing you physically and mentally. In the evening there’s a full briefing covering safety, trekking logistics, cultural etiquette, and the environmental practices we follow on every trip.

Day 2 Islamabad to Skardu (2,230m)

Board a scenic flight over the Karakoram, descending into Skardu, the gateway to some of the world’s highest peaks. Skardu’s stunning landscape of rivers, valleys, and mountains sets the tone for your adventure. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely day exploring Skardu’s bazaars and local eateries. Prepare gear and supplies for the trek with guidance from your expert local guides.
