      Your first stop is at the ancient Katas Raj Temple, located about 220 kilometers (4 hours) from Peshawar. This Hindu temple complex, believed to be over 2,000 years old, holds immense spiritual importance and is associated with the Mahabharata. The site features a sacred pond, said to have formed from the tears of Lord Shiva. The temple’s architecture offers a serene experience, blending history and spirituality.

      Next is your journey towards the Khewra Salt Mines, about 60 kilometers (1 hour) away, offers a fascinating contrast to the spiritual and historical experience of Katas Raj. As the second-largest salt mine in the world, Khewra is renowned for its illuminated tunnels, intricate salt formations, and unique sculptures, including a stunning salt replica of the Badshahi Mosque.

The name “Rori” refers to the pebbles Guru Nanak Dev Ji laid under his body to use as a bed, symbolizing simplicity and detachment from worldly comforts.
