Day 1 Islamabad: Arrival and Gentle Introduction

Welcome to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, known for its modern elegance and natural beauty. After a comfortable transfer to your hotel, enjoy a relaxed introduction over a warm cup of tea. In the afternoon, explore nearby highlights, including the Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa and the Margalla Hills. Venus Trails will host your welcome dinner at a women-led local restaurant, your first taste of authentic Pakistani hospitality while supporting female entrepreneurship. Later, attend a full briefing covering safety,trekking logistics, cultural etiquette and the environmental practices we follow on every trip.

Day 2 Islamabad to Skardu: Gateway to the Karakoram

After breakfast, fly to Skardu (approx. 45 minutes), the gateway to the Karakoram and a high-altitude town that sits at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar rivers. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short walk along town lanes, visit a local bakery or market stall, and meet Balti hosts who keep the region’s traditions alive. This is an important acclimatization day and your guide will review gear and final trek details.

Day 3 Skardu: Sightseeing & Preparation

On arrival we set camp, take a brief village walk, and meet local families; this first night under canvas is crucial for acclimatization and to observe local mountain culture in a quiet setting.
